GROWTH: Brown Turkey Figs are a small tree with a mature size of 12-20 feet tall.

CARE: The Brown Turkey Fig requires full sun and well-draining soil to grow. It is also relatively drought-tolerant and can be grown in containers or in the ground. The Brown Turkey Fig requires moderate watering, especially during hot and dry weather. Water it deeply once a week during the growing season and reduce watering in the winter.

FUN FACT: Figs are a good source of fiber, calcium, iron, potassium, and magnesium. They are also high in vitamins A and C. Even the leaf is a source of food from this productive tree! The broad, flat leaves are often used for grilling, steaming, and baking, where they impart a smoky flavor to other foods. Additionally, the dehydrated leaves can be made into tea.
