How to plant & care for Cypress

WATER:

Little watering is required for Lemon Cypress trees. They will do best if their soil is soaked just once a week!

EXPOSURE:

Lemon Cypress trees do best when placed in a spot that gets 6-8 hours of sunlight each day. They can tolerate only some shade!

PRUNING:

Pruning a Lemon Cypress tree is only necessary when trying to maintain a certain shape. The best time to prune is in early Fall or Spring.

PROPAGATION:

With a sharp knife, cut off a stem of your Lemon Cypress tree that is 3-5 inches long. Strip the foliage from the bottom part of the stem and place into a new pot with rich organic soil.

FERTILIZER:

Use a 20-20-20 fertilizer in early Spring before your Lemon Cypress tree begins to have new growth.
