Water your daffodils regularly when planting and then for about three weeks after they bloom. You don't need to water them again after they bloom until the Fall.

When pruning daffodils, don't touch the leaves unless they have turned yellow. The leaves play a prominent role in growing next years flowers. Prune the flowers whenever you think necessary.
