Impatiens do best in a spot that gets the morning sun and shade for the rest of the day. They prefer shade over sun for their delicate flowers.

Take a few cuttings from your existing Impatien plant and place the bottom part of the stems into soil that is mixed heavily with compost. Roots should establish rather quickly for these beauties!
