How to plant & care for Parsley

WATER:

Parsley grows best when the soil is kept moist but not wet. Be sure to plant in well-draining soil to prevent overwatering.

EXPOSURE:

Parsley loves to be placed in a spot that is sunny majority of the day, but can tolerate some shade as well!

PRUNING:

Prune and clean up dead stems off of last year's growth. In spring, prune them back by one-third or within 4 inches of the soil. This encourages new growth in a bushy and more compact form.

PROPAGATION:

The easiest way to propagate Parsley is to cut parts of the top of the shoots. The cuttings should be about one inch long. You can either let the cuttings grow roots first in a glass with water or you can plant the cuttings immediately into soil. Be sure to keep the soil dry for the first 2-3 weeks as the cuttings need to develop roots first.

FERTILIZER:

Fertilize your Parsley plant with an all purpose fertilizer once or twice a growing season to keep your plant looking healthy and tasting great.
