How to plant & care for Sunflower

WATER:

Sunflowers will grow best when given a deep watering about once a week.

EXPOSURE:

Sunflowers show off their bright, yellow, large blooms when placed in a spot that get at least 6 hours of direct sunlight each day.

PRUNING:

Prune back about half way toward the end of Spring.

PROPAGATION:

Cut an existing mature, non-flowering stem from your Sunflower plant to 4-6 inches. Remove all but the top few leaves and place into a nutrient dense soil mixture. Wait for roots to establish.

FERTILIZER:

Use a 10-10-10- fertilizer when planting.
