Delicate and unique, this spring blooming bulb offers a unique cluster of small, bell-shaped flowers, atop a short stem. Usually growing no more than 8-9" tall, this little beauty is perfect for planting in rock gardens, in the front of beds and borders, or along walkways and paths. They mix well with other early blooming bulbs, and are a popular container plant.
SPRING BULBS: These beautiful grape hyacinth bulbs are a classic, and perfect for planting in rock gardens, in the front of beds and borders, or along walkways and paths.
GROWTH: This flower ships dormant and will bloom in 3-5 weeks. Grape hyacinth grows 8-9” tall. Each bulb produces one to three 8-9 inch high flower stalks with 20-40 tightly packed flowers per stalk.
CARE: Plant bulbs in well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Water the plant when the soil dries out, but avoid overwatering, which can cause bulb rot.
FUN FACT: There is a famous planting of grape hyacinth at Keukenhof Gardens in The Netherlands known as the Blue River.
